Discrimination

Your employer is not allowed to discriminate against you on the basis of your race, sex, age, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation or because you are pregnant or have had a child, have undergone gender reassignment, are married or are in a civil partnership.

Discrimination usually occurs when a person receives less favourable treatment than another person, on the basis of their membership of a group protected by equality legislation.
